Product Full Description

Driving along a road through the southern part of the Kruger National Park one morning, I came across a large herd of African Buffalo. Large herds are normally not aggressive, and I was fortunate to get close enough to take some great pics. This beast gazed at me over the back of another buffalo, and I took the perfect picture as it stared directly into the lens of my camera. Aggressive as it can be, I was lucky to capture the peaceful atmosphere that enveloped the herd of at least 50 animals. What makes this picture more special is the colourful tone of this animal’s face that reminds me of the Nguni cattle breed. This picture produces the spirit of the African bush and literally makes me feel if I am right there whenever I look at it.

Look in the eye of the real wild beast, the herd around it is having a feast.
Don’t let the moment be your guide, your one-eyed verdict may leave you horrified.

a Monster, a brute, a beast they say, can easily change the light of your day.
But through my eye and the camera’s frame, the result of the image is my only aim.
Painted forever with a pixel of light, it will be remembered, not forgotten so slight.
